Pine is called the tree of life not without reason – for a long time its needles have been used to treat scurvy. Since ancient times, pine needle tea has been used to strengthen the body, treat colds and other illnesses, pine needles have an almost magical effect. In literature, pine is called the tree of life solely because travelers, exiles, hunters survived thanks to the pine tree. In winter, when there were no vitamins to be obtained from anywhere, no plants, no greens, they made infusions from pine needles, thus avoiding scurvy and preserving their health.
