Why ŪkisGo was created
There are many farmers and producers in Lithuania who grow and make truly good food. However, their path to the buyer is often long and unprofitable. They sell their produce to buyers or processors at prices set by them. Before reaching the store shelf, it passes through several hands, with each taking their share. In the end, the farmer gets the least, and the buyer no longer knows where the product came from.
You could sell it yourself. But then you need to create an e-shop, photograph goods, accept payments, issue invoices, negotiate with couriers, and reply to messages. All this after a long day on the farm or in production. Many don't even try.
On the other hand, there are people who would like to buy local food directly from the farm, but don't know where to look for it. The farmers' market only operates on Saturday morning, and the farm is a hundred kilometers away.
We created ŪkisGo so that these people could finally meet.
What we do
ŪkisGo is an online platform that acts as a real farmers' market on the internet. Here, farmers and producers sell their products directly to buyers, without resellers and without a long chain of intermediaries.
Sellers do what they do best: grow and produce. Everything else is taken care of by our online platform. It accepts orders and buyer payments, issues invoices, and prepares shipping labels. The seller just needs to call our logistics partner's courier with the click of a button, and the courier will come directly to them to pick up the shipment.
Prices are set by the sellers themselves. Not buyers, not retail chains, and not us.
How to shop at the online farmers' market
Everything works just like in a regular market, only you don't need to drive anywhere. You visit ŪkisGo and choose from hundreds of products: fresh vegetables, fruits and berries, dairy products, meat, fish, honey, baked goods, drinks, and handmade crafts. Next to each product, you see who grew or made it. You order, pay online, and the seller packages and ships your order.
We ship products not only across Lithuania, but also to Latvia, Estonia, Poland, Germany, France, and other European Union countries. Thus, the taste of a Lithuanian farm can be experienced by Lithuanians living abroad and anyone who appreciates good food.
Families, individuals, and businesses buy from us: cafes, restaurants, or shops looking for reliable local suppliers.
What we aim for
We want buying directly from the farm to be as simple as buying anything else online. So that the farmer gets a fair reward for their work, and the buyer knows exactly what they are eating and who grew it.
This is called the short supply chain. For us, this means one simple thing: the fewer links between the farm and your table, the fresher the food, the more money stays with the one who grew it, and the fewer empty trips and unnecessary packaging.
ŪkisGo today
More than 80 farmers and producers sell on our online platform, and you will find more than 900 products in the store. New sellers are constantly joining, and their products travel to buyers all over Europe.
Who we are
We are a small but passionate team. We are united by one simple belief: good food must reach people by the shortest route, and the person who grew it must receive a fair reward for their work.
We build ŪkisGo together with programmers, designers, and logistics partners. We design every feature to save time for the farmer and be simple for the buyer. Many ideas are born from conversations with the sellers themselves: they know best what is needed, and we try to turn that into something that works with the click of a button.
We are not a large corporation with a call center, so you can always talk to us directly. Questions, suggestions, or simply a desire to talk about your farm: write to us, we will gladly answer.
